ISSUES SI IDK BUT THE YEARS ALMOST OVER AAAAAAAHHH!!!!

Image
This is what I had time for. Am I proud of it? Yes. Is it exactly what I wanted? No. Not my best piece, definitely, but at least it’s a positive piece that shows a triumph in spiritual warfare. Unfortunately, I really want to make two more pieces and I have very little time. Included are thumbnails for those two pieces.

SI (Late 😬) Power of Prayer UNFINISHED!!!!

Image
Wow, this is embarrassing. Not only am I posting this SI late, but it’s also unfinished. This may be the worst post so far. Oops. Hopefully I finish this AND a new piece by my next progress report…yikes… I’m in trouble… I’m calling the piece power of prayer, and it would be going a lot faster if I could draw without reference… oh well. This is an old piece I redesigned, and I like I how it turned out. Doesn’t count as it’s own piece though… Progress shot of the photo I used for my WIP piece:

Late Progress Report

Sorry this is late! It’s kind of hard to tell from this thumbnail, but I want to try some more hopeful pieces to make a cohesive arc for my portfolio. Hopefully I can do this in a real cathedral, but if not, I can always add the background in.

There’s two ways to go about this one… well three, actually, and this times I’m going to be very thorough about describing what it is I’m doing here. This is the most personal piece I’ve made in this whole project, and judging by how cool the chalk one was, that seems to be a good strategy. My first idea is less personal, but plays with the themes in a more clear way. I’ve been trying to convey how the spiritual world feels significantly greater in purpose, value, and conflict through the juxtaposition between physical reality and comics. Sometimes that means the comic world is supposed to look flat, being physical reality, or sometimes it’s supposed to highlight the larger than life nature of spiritual happenings, being spiritual. In this concept, I’m trying to clearly represent how the impact of the spiritual world feels to someone who can’t put it to words. Sometimes it feels insane to think an unseen force is attacking you, but it is an undeniable truth when you, and only you,...

SI #? - (ISSUES) - “What are you looking at?”

Image
Same one as before. Inspired by Doctor Who. Represents seeing what others can’t see, and seeing the effect it has on someone I really like the version with the word bubble, but I’ll consult the class.
